"Little Hen" is different, about as different as a young chick – or child – with a handicap can be. But that doesnt keep her from getting into the thick of it all.

"Handicapped children need to discover the hero within themselves," emphasizes author and social pedagogue Susanne Bohlien, who brought the book Little Hen to life with her graphite pencils and watercolors in the fall of 2000.

Appearing exactly 10 years after the original printed edition, this newly available e-book edition could almost be considered a second debut.

Through 22 color pictures and an easily understandable story, children will meet in Little Hen someone like themselves, someone who has big dreams and often runs into obstacles along the way of pursuing those dreams. The story is a reminder that weaknesses and limitations should never be allowed to take the forefront, but rather personality and friendship.
